Role in Citrine-Holdings

At Citrine Financial Group Holdings, Ms. Sibanda serves in a strategic advisory and governance capacity, contributing deep expertise in corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, transaction advisory, and institutional structuring. She supports the Group’s Pan-African expansion by advising on governance best practices, compliance architecture, and risk-aware growth strategies aligned with international standards and African regulatory realities.

Previous Work Experience

Ms. Sibanda has held senior legal, executive, and advisory roles across multiple jurisdictions and sectors, including extractive industries, energy, infrastructure, financial services, technology, manufacturing, and trade.

She previously practised with DLA Piper-affiliated law firms in Botswana and Zimbabwe and later led corporate and shared services business units for organisations operating across Africa, North America, Europe, and the UAE.

She is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Upendo Tech, a licensed Trust and Corporate Services Provider regulated by the National Bank of Rwanda, where she leads corporate advisory, governance, compliance, and training services for regional and international clients.

Ms. Sibanda is an active contributor to policy and regulatory development, serving as an Advisor to the Rwanda Trust Companies Association, under the oversight of the Central Bank of Rwanda. She is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (CGISA), the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa, the Law Society of Botswana, and Toastmasters International.
